New Chamber President Elect at AGM
17 November 2011Owen Gleadall has been unveiled as the new President Elect of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce and will take office next autumn. The Chamber’s annual general meeting held here at Brinsworth Training, witnessed the announcement that Mr Gleadall, who is Managing Director of Barnsley-based Merlin Software, will assume office from current President Chris MacCormac in November 2012.
Mr Gleadall has been involved with the Chamber for many years and has served on various panels and committees during that time. He has also been a magistrate in Barnsley for over 25 years and served on the Board of the Probation Service for over 13 years.

Mr Gleadall is involved with various schools locally, one as a Governor and one as a mentor, and also acts as a mentor for the Enterprise Scheme at Sheffield Hallam University.
Mr Gleadall said: “It is a great honour to be elected as the next President of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber and I hope that I can follow in the steps of those that have gone before and do justice to the office which has been entrusted to me.”
