Apprentices visit Imperial War Museum.

The base is now the Yorkshire Air Museum and Allied Air Forces Memorial.  It is a self supporting organisation, independent of any official funding, run by volunteers and enthusiasts from many walks of life.

Not to be outdone the next course of National Grid apprentices at Brinsworth Training asked for a similar trip, so a visit to the Imperial War Museum at the former RAF Duxford was arranged and took place on the 10th July.

The trips were organised to be an enriching day by introducing apprentices to local history, military history and aspects of engineering they would not normally encounter, whilst taking a short breather from a constant program of lessons.
