Launch of two new divisions

South Yorkshire is recognised, across Europe, as an engineering and manufacturing centre of excellence, so it’s only natural that it’s also the home of the regions leading engineering and manufacturing training provider, Brinsworth Training.

Brinsworth Training is pleased to announce the launch of its two new divisions; Corporate Conferencing and Education.

After a £500,000 investment from the company Directors the centre has now undergone an extensive revamp in order to renovate and expand the training facilities available throughout the centre. In increasing the space available, not only is the centre now able to offer improved facilities for apprentices, but also an enhanced service to the public and prospective clients.

Secondly, Brinsworth Training is working with the Special Metals Forum (SMF) and South Yorkshire’s Armed Forces Career Services to produce a new knowledge transfer programme. The aim is to capture the hearts and minds of the sectors future workforce and also to raise awareness of the centre’s Pre and post 16 Work Related Learning provision.

Piloted in Sep 2007 and launching in Feb 2008 the new Education Division will be offering pupils the experience of working within the engineering and manufacturing sector, whilst working towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) at entry level 1, available to year 10 & 11’s pupils from Rotherham and Sheffield’s Secondary schools.
