To provide candidates with the skills and knowledge required to safely undertake oxy-fuel brazing tasks. This will help you master the methods for bronze welding, silver brazing, soft soldering and brazing, and fusion welding. The Oxy fuel Brazing & Soft Soldering series is designed for new welding candidates who have little or no knowledge of the field. All the terms used in the series are defined or explained, so candidates are not required to have a welding vocabulary to understand the content.

• Health and safety
• Selection and set up of brazing equipment
• Safety in the use of oxy-fuel brazing equipment
• Principals of the oxy-fuel process
• Joint designs and applications
• Preparation and set up of joints
• Selection and use of fluxes
• Brazing techniques and principles
• Lap and fillet joints in the flat position
• Joints in the horizontal and vertical positions
• Brazing of copper and copper alloys
• Final assessment test

Qualification : All successful candidates upon completion will receive the Centre Certificate of Attendance in Oxy Fuel Brazing identifying training covered

For Your Information : Brinsworth Training has the flexibility to facilitate your requirements as an organisation or individual Please bring pen and paper and wear/bring with you PPE (personal protective equipment) protective clothing, eye wear, gloves etc and steel toecap boots for the workshop activities. Brinsworth can supply if needed hats, gloves and glasses

This course is based at our main engineering training facility, located just off the M1 J34 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Ideally situated for access from Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster or Rotherham.
