This course is designed for anyone who wants to produce both precision and general engineering components using hand fitting techniques. This course is delivered by friendly qualified professional training staff. You will be working in a fully equipped workshop. We pride ourselves on the high standard of training delivery both in workshop and classroom environment. This course is mainly hands on with a mix of theory work to provide a comprehensive learning package, completion of this course should provide you with hand fitting knowledge and experience essential in any field of engineering.

• Workshop safety
• Reading technical drawings, working to close tolerances
• Use of precision measuring equipment – how to read, check for accuracy and recalibrate them
• Working with a range of ferrous and non ferrous materials
• Includes producing: datum’s, tapping, reaming, chamfering, counter boring
• Using hand fitting tools: files, hacksaws, scrapers
• Produce both external and internal threads
• Checking quality and accuracy of your work
• Working under a high level of supervision whilst taking responsibility for your own actions

Qualification : All successful candidates upon completion will receive the Centre of Competence in a unit a accreditation towards a level 2 Performing Engineering Operations (PEO)

For Your Information : Brinsworth Training has the flexibility to facilitate your requirements as on organisation or individual Please bring pen and paper and wear/bring with you PPE (personal protective equipment) protective clothing, eye wear, gloves etc and steel toecap boots for the workshop activities. Brinsworth can supply if needed hats, gloves and glasses

This course is based at our main engineering training facility, located just off the M1 J34 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Ideally situated for access from Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster or Rotherham.
