This is a HSE approved course for anyone who wishes to become a First Aider. Our first aid course is delivered by unique fully qualified instructors, providing an incredibly high standard of training taught by working paramedics and operational Health Care Professionals. All have firsthand experience in an emergency pre hospital environment and all will have treated real patients in pressurized situations. Our team of instructors have years of experience and training ensuring the most up to date information is provided, we pride ourselves on the quality of our first aid courses taking into consideration the psychological process and self belief that is required should your newly taught skills be called into action.

• This is a comprehensive course with a good mix of both practical and theoretical knowledge. Thus preparing the first aider to deal with many situations until professional help arrives. On completion of the course a practical assessment is undertaken and successful candidates will receive a First Aid at Work certificate that is valid for three years.
• Accident reporting and first aid at work regulations
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
• Airway Management and the Unconscious Casualty
• Respiratory System
• Circulatory System
• Control of Bleeding and the Treatment of Shock
• Recognising and Treatment of Common Medical Conditions
• Treatment of Burns and Scalds
• Skeletal System and Treatment of Injuries to Bones, Muscles and Joints
• Poisoning

Qualification : All successful candidates upon completion will receive the nationally recognised HSE approved Certificate in First Aid

For Your Information :

Brinsworth Training has the flexibility to facilitate your requirements as an organisation or individual Brinsworth Training recommends that a refresher course is taken every 3 years, 1 month before the original certificate runs out. From Oct 2009 The Government will be talking about a First Aid Legislation, but up to now they strongly recommend that a First Aid course be taken every year, at least one month before their current Certificate expires Please bring pen and paper and wear sensible clothing.

This course is based at our main engineering training facility, located just off the M1 J34 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Ideally situated for access from Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster or Rotherham.
