The ECITB/CCNSG Passport to safety course is a nationally recognised certificate for the contracting industry allowing you entry onto sites. Safety passports are an increasingly important way for employers and companies who employ contractors to establish health and safety assurance among their workforce. The course gives basic knowledge of Health and Safety and complements on-site inductions enabling employees to work more safely and with a low risk to themselves and others. The safety passport is similar to any other passport that allows the holder access to a passport-controlled environment, Many companies insist on the personnel holding the qualification before allowing them access to a site or premises. As well as containing personal details such as the holders name and photograph, this can be used as evidence that the bearer is qualified to an acceptable and recognised skills level of health and safety awareness.

This course is designed for smaller work environments where employees are small in number. Or for larger organisations where they wish to train staff in this qualification so they can assist their fully qualified First Aiders. The focus of the course is to provide the candidate with the skills to take charge and deal with situations thus preventing them from getting worse until professional help arrives. Upon completion of this course the candidate will receive a certificate valid for three years.
