History Of Brinsworth Training Ltd
In 1995 the EITB (Engineering Industry Training Board) closed down leaving a great need for apprenticeships training. Three former employees of the EITB recognising the demand for this knowledge and in 1998 seeing there was a niche in the marketplace formed Brinsworth Training Ltd. The training centre was originally set up by the late Mick Cattell, who sadly passed away in May 2010. The centre will continue to deliver his vision for training the engineering sector.
The aim was to provide specialist and bespoke Engineering Training. The training had to be practical, flexible and affordable to meet their client’s needs in an environment of rapidly changing technology.
The first major contract was commissioned by British Steel to train 200 employees to NVQ level 2 standards in Maintenance Engineering. In 2004 Brinsworth Training Ltd was awarded a Centre of Vocational Excellence, and Investors in People. In 2006 it was proud to become an Institute of Leadership & Management Approved Centre.
