Equal Opportunities

Equality and diversity is a top priority - all staff and learners at Brinsworth Training undergo equality and diversity training. This allows all involved with Brinsworth Training to respect and value each other, embracing individual and professional differences as a natural and positive part of the society we live in. It is not pretending that everyone is the same and it does not aim to give anybody unfair advantages. By making equality and diversity a priority, we are continually committed to the production of a friendly, safe and enjoyable environment in which we all work together as a team

We are dedicated to maintaining equality

Brinsworth Training has a code of practice and numerous procedures in place to ensure that we remain an equality of opportunity training provider.

The procedures are: Equality and Diversity policy, Harassment Procedure, Disability Statement, Misuse of Drugs and Alcohol Procedure and Fraud Procedure.

These procedures are continuously reviewed and maintained to ensure that all individuals are treated solely on the basis of their appropriate merits and abilities.

Assumptions and stereotypes have no place at Brinsworth Training.

We provide support

If you are applying for an apprenticeship at Brinsworth Training, the application form and initial health questionnaire provide a place for you to list any support needs.

When invited to interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss in confidence any support needs or health issues. Additionally, we have designed tests to identify any learning difficulties, so that we may provide you with the appropriate assistance throughout your training. We are here to help!

Additionally, Brinsworth Training is more than happy to arrange assessments for individuals who may need support during examinations.

The support available includes additional time, supervised breaks, assistance with reading and writing, exam papers with modified print layouts/enlarged text, Braille exam papers, hearing enhancements, and more.

Every apprentice has their own support team

Every apprentice that trains with Brinsworth Training is allotted their very own support team.

This team consists of a personal trainer/assessor, a programme mentor and a management team.

The support team is available to resolve any difficulties, problems or questions that an apprentice may have during their training. We are a company dedicated to all of our learners and will do everything possible to place you on the path to success.

Any complaints relating to discrimination, harassment, bullying or victimisation will be thoroughly investigated and treated very seriously by Brinsworth Training.

We will not tolerate any attempts to disrupt the positive working atmosphere that we are so proud of.

Therefore, any complaints will be handled sensitively and effectively with the utmost confidentiality, in order to promptly resolve problems and reduce any stress experienced by the complainant.
